Ashwagandha

The word ‘Ashwagandha” is derived from Sanskrit word Ashwa (horse) and Gandha (smell). It is traditionally used as an Adaptogen. Due to its ‘Rasayana” (rejuvenating), immune-modulator, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties, it helps in management of stress, insomnia, depression, strengthens nerves and improves mental & physical stamina. It pacifies Vatta and Kapha doshas.

Brahmi

The word is derived from name of Lord Brahma (universal consciousness). It’s one of the best Medhya Rasayan which helps in rejuvenation of brain cells. It improves cognitive skill, memory, retention, quality of speech and helps in loss of memory, speech problems, psychiatric disorders, cerebral palsy, ADHD and insomnia. Brahmi is known to cross blood-brain barrier due to its lipophilic action. It pacifies Vatta and Kapha doshas.

Shankhpushpi

Other name for this is “Mangalya Kusuma” meaning bringer of good fortune. It’s an excellent brain tonic which also has anti-ageing, anti-depressant, wound healing, neuroprotective and natural detoxification properties. This Medhya Rasayan helps improve memory, strength, digestion and is effective in cases of Dementia and delayed milestones. It pacifies Pitta and Kapha doshas.

Gotu Kola

Also known as Mandukparni. It’s a Medhya Varg herb helps improve intelligence, voice, strength, metabolism and provides overall nourishment. It is beneficial in depression, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and insomnia. It pacifies Pitta and Kapha doshas.

Vacha

Mulethi

Also known as “sweet wood”, this Medhyarasayan is an effective antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antacid. It’s a potent brain tonic, improves immunity, voice, and eyes. This herb is beneficial in Alzheimer’s, depression, speech problems and mental fatigue. It pacifies Vatta and Pitta dosdha.

Bhringraj
